Bay Village Early Childhood PTA

All meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at Normandy Elementary School, with the exception of the December Social and the May Installation Dinner. Refreshments are served at each meeting. Free babysitting is provided on-site by members of the National Honor Society.

September 13, 2012~ Social
Join us for a relaxing evening of socializing and getting acquainted. This is a great opportunity to learn about how you and your children can become involved in our wonderful organization.

October 11, 2012 ~ Potty Mastery
Joan Morgenstern, Early Childhood Services Director at Mandel, JCC Beachwood and frequent lecturer, will offer us a developmental perspective on the potty mastery process. She will also discuss practical tools parents can use to promote their child’s potty success.

November 8, 2012 ~ Preschool Open House & Kindergarten Readiness
Preschools from the Bay Village area will present their programs at individual stations. Representatives will be available with information and to answer any questions. If you've already been through preschool, stop by for the Kindergarten Readiness Forum, as local principals discuss what to expect when your child enters Kindergarten.

December 13, 2013 ~ Holiday Social
Take a break from holiday stress and spend some time with friends. Location TBD.

January 10, 2013 ~ Basic Estate Planning for Parents with Minors
David M. Gareau, Esq. will provide an overview of basic estate planning for parents with minor children, including a discussion about the importance of having these documents in place.

February 7, 2013 ~ Pediatric Sleep Issues
A doctor from the Cleveland Clinic Sleep Disorders Center will discuss pediatric sleep issues and establishing good sleeping habits.

March 14, 2013 ~ The Importance of Eating Locally and Seasonally
Annie Stahlheber Burgoyne, Cuyahoga Cty. Bd. of Health and LEAF Community board member, will discuss the importance of eating locally and seasonally. Learn how to become a little more "green" in our everyday lives as we get ready for Spring!

April 11, 2013 ~ Vote for Officers & Spring Social
Make sure to attend this important meeting as we will be voting for next year's officers. Afterwards, we will gather for our spring social (location tbd).

May 9, 2013 ~ Installation Dinner
Celebrate a great year and look forward to the next as we welcome our new Executive Committee at the annual Installation Dinner. All members are encouraged to attend this relaxing, fun, year-end event.

General meetings typically include socialization time with refreshments, a business portion, and an informative speaker.

Board meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of the month at the home of a board member. Board meetings begin at 7:30 pm and are open to all BVECPTA members.
